Maria Sanoudaki

Maria Sanoudaki Ceramic│Art Studio is a studio based in the traditional village of Old Chersonisos in the island of Crete.
Maria studied architecture in Thessaloniki before furthering her studies in Barcelona on Sustainable Architectural Design. She continued her architectural career at several architectural offices until 2015 she decided to focus on ceramic art and transform the traditional house of her great-grandparents to an art studio.

In 2014 she attended ceramics workshops of Renas Kastanaki in Heraklion and in 2017-18 she attended ceramics lessons by ceramist Menandros Papadopoulos. She has taken part in various seminars and events:  Traditional firing by Giorgos Dalamvelas in Margarites, Crete, Raku firing by Tassos Patiniotis and Alternative firings by Thodoris Galigalidis.
