  • Ώρα για μάθημα! Ο Κέρνος είναι ένα αρχαιο τελετουργικό αγγείο που αποτελείται από ένα κυρίως σώμα, στρογγυλό, κάποιες φορές κούφιο στο οποίο υπάρχουν αμαρτήματα μικρά αγγεία η σύμβολα. Στα αγγεία τοποθετούνταν προσφορές. Έχουν βρεθεί Κεραμικά και λίθινα αντικείμενα από τη μινωική εποχή και περισσότερα τη Γεωμετρική και Μυκηναϊκή εποχή. Η τελετουργική τους χρηση έχει συνδεθεί και με τα Ελευσινια Μυστήρια. Στη φωτό αριστερά πρωτότυποι κερνοι, δεξιά, οι δικοί μας σύγχρονοι επαναπροσδιορισμοί! Learning time! “Kernos” is an ancient ritual vessel that consists of a circular body (sometimes hollow) and on the body different shapes and pots are attached. Pots are to receive the ritual offers. Kernos are found since Minoan age but are more common in Mycenaean era. The could be ceramics or made of stone and their use was also linked with the Elefsinian Mysteries.
